I made a thread for a game called Spore, but recently I decided that it wasn't gonna generate any interest, so rather than clogging the boards with useless threads, I'm keeping it down to useless posts in a single, ignorance driven quest to keep this thread with a new post aside from "have" lists. I've been looking about the web recently between medding in Everquest and I've become obsessed with Spore, Will Wright's newest concotion, sometimes dubbed Sim-Everything. Take a look at the conference on it here. It's only about an hour long. I'm seriously stoked about it. A game that is truly open ended sandboxing is something I've wanted, and with all the possibilities, it could take my life over. I'm going to make a race of totoro.

I got Katamari Damacy this Friday and absolutely adore it. It might be a short game, but it's terribly fun. The title of its sequel is all too appropriate.
To expound, the game is about a 5cm tall green thing called "The Prince", son of the King of All Cosmos. His father got, to put it, drunk, and danced. He destroyed the stars. The Prince's job is now to build stars using a Katamari, a ball that stuff sticks to, and makes stuff stick to the stuff stuck to the katamari. Anything from thumbtacks to people to cars to buildings and on. The graphics are simple chunky, but it makes the game, like Animal Crossing. Photo-realistic graphics wouldn't really add anything. The soundtrack is hilarious fun. Swing, Broadway, Tango, J-Pop. Took me about an hour of play to decide to "acquire" the soundtrack on CD. The game is strange, but a blast.

So, this is it. Tomorrow I board a plane and travel to the center of all that is geek. Yes folks, Japan. I can say more later, like when I get back, but this post is to say something along the lines that I'm going. If anyone responds before midnight tonight and will come to my house when I get back, I'll bring chocolate for them. I promise no good condition, as my bag is gonna be crowded.

So, I got back from Japan and was yoinked two days after to go to Silverton, Colorado. Saw what I heard was an amazing fireworks display. I didn't see what was so great. On a similiar but different note, this "comic" is what America needs to remember.

My most recent game is Kirby: CC, having great fun with it. My next will probably be Nintendogs. I'm not really into the puzzle business. It just doesn't appeal to me. Games with puzzles are okay, but games focusing on the same single puzzle don't. Except Katamari, but then, Everyone Loves Katamari.

Yeah, CC is great. It was hard to top amazing mirror, but somehow it managed. Have you seen the vids for the GC Kirby? Looks like they've adapted some of the elements from superstar, like the 2nd player being able to control moster characters. Only this time you can have three helpers instead of just one!
Don't judge meteos that quickly, man! It has a butt load of different planets. Each planet has a different alien race, song, skin, and gravity difference. It almost feels like you're playing a different game on each one!

Dun' get me wrong. I'm not saying "Grar! Puzzle game bad!" I'm just saying it's not really my genre. I wont buy it now, but I might check it out if you bring it to Manga Board one day.

It might have to be on anime club day, since my classes run through 11:00, and I have fridays off. We'll see what happens, though. While we're on the subject of DS games, theres going to be a new Dig Dug game entitled Digging Strike (LOL guys, DS! HAHAHahahaha.... yeah). And they're setting it after The DS Mr. Driller, so this means we get the awesomely awesome Taizo version of Dig Dug! They got screens over at IGN.

You can't stop the bad comics. I give this to you because of Anime Expo, and its seeming appropriateness to it.

I dressed up like a gorilla in a suit for anime expo. No, he wasn't from any sort of series, I just like dressing up like gorillas in suits. It was also for only one day. I saw a person dressed up like crappy unicorn over and over... it was kinda scary.

Not even from Cromartie? (And just to clarify: the gorilla was wearing a suit, aka formal clothing normally associated with men?) Nintendogs --------------- On a side note, supposedly the three different versions of Nintendogs are something like Pokemon, and though not all versions come with all dogs selectable, they can be unlocked so that any version can have any dog without outside assistance. The thing is, items aren’t the same way. Trading is needed to get all the items. (We still don't get some of the Japanese stuff. One of which is a Japanese style house.) Anyway, the breeds for each one is as follows: The Chihuahua edition: German shepherds, King Charles spaniels, Yorkshire terriers, Shetland sheepdogs, Boxers The Miniature Dachshund edition: beagles, pugs, Shih Tzus, golden retriever, Siberian husky breeds The Labrador Retriever edition: Schnauzers, toy poodles, Pembroke Welsh corgis, Shiba Inus, miniature Doberman pinchers.” These are the Japanese starters. I warn you, the cute burns. What's the point of this? Collectionism! I want two other people I know who are getting this game to get different versions then what I am! After trading, bada-bing, we've got everything. I don't really want the Dachshund edition, but I'll get the other two, preferably the Lab. I <3 Schnauzers. They schnauze like no other. (I did the same thing with Pokemon. I got red, my brother got blue. I got gold, he got silver.) And for the sake of a longer post... I give you... The Aquabats!

I'm not cool enough to be the gorilla from cromartie. He's wearing the suits I usualy wear, like the tweed one. I actually wore this costume for halloween, but plus a cool beige hat.
I'm prolly gonna get the dachshund one, seeing as how it's got the husky in it.

Andie (My Andie) did not understand the subtle differences between a hobo and a sandwich. I'll start with this convinient diagram of the two: On the left is a Hobo/Pirate. It was short notice. He was all we could get. On the other left, a Meatloaf & Cabbage & Cheddar sandwich. To be a hobo, one must: 1. Not have a job. The sandwich fails, as its proffesion is being tasty. 2. Have a ripped hat. The sandwich has no head. Fail. 3. A large coat. The sandwich would be crushed and become smoosh. Smoosh can be hobo, but sammich. 4. Stubble. Even the women. Sandwiches only mold. 5. Fingerless gloves. No hands on the sammich. 6. Torn shoes. A must! No feet on the sammich. 7. Eat sammiches. Sammiches have no mouth. A sammich cannot be a hobo. A hobo can be a sammich. Soylent green.
