That, uh, wasn't a fight. That was a disagreement and a misunderstanding on my part. :s Jean, you still have Lament of Innocence, don't you? Finish it, because I want it back soon. I finished Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and I want to be able to compare it to LoI, but I haven't played that in over a year, so my memories of it may be skewed. I seem to remember it having more platforming than Curse, at least...but well, ANY PLATFORMING AT ALL is more than is present in Curse. It's all fighting, barring the moments when you're running through enemyless hallways that seem to be longer than they really should (which makes backtracking more trouble than it's worth - a problem leftover from LoI, as I recall). The fighting is well done and quite fun, with the material combination system to make new weapons helping to keep things fresh, but again, the lousy level design and massive backtracking (even having teleporters this time doesn't help) works against it. But hey, the Pokemon-esque "Innocent Devils" are far less irritating than I thought they would be. Fun, even. It helps to keep combat interesting for a longer time. Most importantly, Trevor is a sexy beast - but in the manly way!. I was afraid of what they'd do to him when I saw his name in the manual, seeing as how Simon's Castlevania Chronicles redesign makes him look like a gay hooker, but he outranks Leon and even Richter on the greatness scale. Isaac single-handedly fills up Castevania's gayness quota for the next ten years anyway, so I guess that makes up for it. But ultimately, I'm glad I merely rented it. It certainly wasn't a step forward for 3D Castlevania, but uh...I'm not entirely sure if it was better or worse than LoI. YOU ARE READING THIS, JEAN!

My avatar seems to waver between being there and not being there (seeing as how i got it from a crappy internet site. It's not bad enough to be there all the time, I guess.

It wasn't my fault you wanted a fight. Anyway, Mario Kart DS is awesome. Wireless internet battle? Great idea. My friend code: 352246 841684 If you can, get yours up and we might just be able to play. Mine's: 021534 644317 We should really start a thread for this. You wanna do the honors?

Hey Jean (since I'm never awake to call you at a reasonable hour), I forgot to mention this last time we talked, but I'd TOTALLY help you figure stuff out if you went ahead and bought Tilt's SvC Chaos cabinet. You need to ask them a few questions before you go ahead and do anything (I'd be happy to come help with that if needed), but if that thing is running on a Neo Geo MVS (as opposed to a JAMMA board that some were distributed as), you could turn that baby into a multiple game machine. If not, it's still probable that the guts could be replaced with just about any system harness. Of course, this is all assuming the cabinet itself is part of the deal. If you're really serious about this, take a look at CoinOpExpress.com and consider your options. They have some cheaper cabinet only ser ups, but I imagine the problem with getting them from there would be the shipping. Aside from that, though, they've got a nice selection of PCBs and kits.

So you're keen on all this eh? Well I sure could use the help. Keep in mind that I'm gonna need to set up a relationship with our family's stock broker before I actually get any money for this. That's already in motion though, so it shouldn't take too long. We'll go into specifics once I actually get the cash.
Oh, and they're charging $1600 plus tax for it. Based on what I saw at that link you gave me, I'd say I'm getting the case as well as the game.

I asked today and yeah, it includes the cabinet. I wanted to be sure. In other good news, they're just replacing the cabs and not shutting down, so hooray. It's a normal thing for arcades to do that, but damn, being without one for so long + never wanting this on to go away ever no matter what = PARANOIA. This also means we may get Neo Geo Battle Coliseum yet!

If we don't, I could always buy it (long as I'm wasting my college education on arcade games).

HEY GUYS LOOK WHAT (some people who weren't me) FOUND IN THEIR E-MAIL __________________________________________________ _______________ Namco will be conducting focus groups to discuss Soul Calibur and other games on Wednesday, December 14 in the Los Angeles area.
If you qualify, the discussion will last approximately 2 hours and participants will be paid $100.
If interested, please call Adept Consumer Research at 818-905-9666, extension 445 and ask for Derrick.
PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL MESSAGE. If you would like to respond, please reply using the phone number above.
Thanks, The Soul Calibur Team __________________________________________________ _______________
Hell, if I could, I'd go, even if they didn't offer money (Capcom's focus group didn't!). It should be interesting, especially since it seems the whole Soul Calibur franchise is being supported by Americans alone now.

Suncoast's Dance of Death has begun, as has Sam Goody's. Savings range from good to good-ish (20 to 40% off). I'm probably going to try to go to the mall again tomorrow to play some more KOF XI anyway, so if anyone's interested in joining me, do give me a call. Seeing as how Patrick isn't available, uh...well, you interested, Jean? It'd probably be in the later in the afternoon due to my weekend sleeping pattern.

Sorry I wasn't anywhere. I had an extreme lack of sleep, and my heart was beating so fast I feared for my life. =(
