Story: 5/5
The story is a complete oposite of every anime out there, instead of following the great trails of a hero to save the world from evil, we the horibly hopeless trails of a young girl Excel who is a lacky to the evil fuher Lord Ilpalazzo. Most people who watch Excel Saga think it has no plot but watch closly it has a preaty good one, Nabeshin just hides it very well.
Comedy:5/5
This show is just too insane and funny to not give it a five here, the first time I watched this show I got shortness of breath, but that was like a year ago when I knew nothing about anime compared to now, oh thats not a bad thing, knowledge of anime is requiered to enjoy some of the jokes.
Animation: 3.5/5
Looks nice, but the frame... rate... is... really... low. But that doesn't bother me to much.
Dub: 3.5/5
A little off. The voice for Excel actually changes, dude that sucks. For the most part the dub is good but there is more cursing on the dub then there is on the sub.
Sub: 3.5/5
Good, but when everything Excel says is a pun, some jokes are just better in english. Very good vocies, except for Pedro, the dub voice is way better.
Drama: 2/5
One or two episodes toward the end have some good drama, but besides that only the animal episodes have any drama, but this is a mad cap comedy, it's supost to be that way!
Action: 2/5
Not much but there is some.
Music:4.5/5
One of the best opening songs ever, it actualy makes you laff, and the ending song is even funnier. The background music fits every scene perfectly.
Overall: 4/5
Not my favorite, but it is a lot of fun, and can always cheer you up on any bad day, and there are some moderitly okay speacial features too. I like the manga better, though. The rating of 17+ on the back might confuse some, but the last episode perfectly explains all, lets just say if the wrong person walked in they might think it was something else; nuff said.
(One fun note I would like to add is that Excel, Hyatt, and Ilpalazzo are all names of hotels in Japan.)
Another thing: please vote for this show, I know I am.
